RAPID© one-page pitch
The problem
70 to 85% of enterprise AI projects do not reach production (Gartner 2026, consolidated industry analyses 2024-2026). In SMBs, the cause is rarely the technology itself. It is always the same dynamic: no method, no governance, no business framing. A ChatGPT subscription deployed without architecture, prompts that scatter within weeks, and managers realizing nothing is being industrialized.
55% of French SMBs and mid-market companies now report using generative AI (Bpifrance Le Lab, 2026 barometer). Only 17% use it regularly. The gap between declared usage and produced value is massive.
The solution
RAPID© is an operational method in five phases, designed for French SMBs and mid-market companies of 20 to 500 employees. It does not sell technology. It structures decision-making, experimentation, deployment, governance and compliance (GDPR, EU AI Act applicable on August 2, 2026).
Recense — Analyze — Pilot — Iterate — Deploy
First measurable result within 90 days. Each phase produces a validated deliverable before moving to the next. No big bang. No POC without follow-through. Measured business value.
The proof
- 150+ SMBs and mid-market companies supported by Apps Velocity over the last 3 years
- €32 million in cumulative savings (internal estimates documented, methodology available on request)
- 95% project success rate (internal Apps Velocity indicator)
- Apps Velocity, AI integration studio founded in late 2013
- Pascal Roche has been coding with AI assistance since Beyond Coder (2013), ten years before ChatGPT

Patrick de Carvalho, 51, French-Portuguese, is CEO and co-founder of Apps Velocity, an AI integration studio dedicated to French SMBs and mid-market companies. 30 years of tech entrepreneurship, 150+ SMBs supported, €32 million in estimated cumulative savings for clients.
A self-described serial entrepreneur, he founded his first company in 1998. Partner with Pascal Roche since 2006, he co-founded Apps Velocity with him in late 2013. After early failures, he formulated the mantra that now structures his practice: "I never lose. Either I win, or I learn." He hosts the "Je ne perds jamais" podcast, leads a community of 23,000+ followers on LinkedIn, and is publishing two books in May 2026: RAPID© (AI method for SMBs, May 11) and Je ne perds jamais (entrepreneur mindset, May 30).
Pascal Roche — Co-author
Pascal Roche, CTO and co-founder of Apps Velocity, is one of the few French practitioners able to document an effective use of AI in production for over ten years. Partner with Patrick de Carvalho since 2006, he co-founded Apps Velocity with him in late 2013. The same year, he designed Beyond Coder, an AI-assisted approach for developers integrated into Apps Velocity's production chain, well before the rise of mainstream tools.
Over 25 years leading the technical architecture of software projects, from his first company to today's 150+ AI projects at Apps Velocity. Pascal guarantees the robustness, sovereignty and compliance of solutions delivered to SMB and mid-market clients.

About Apps Velocity
Identity and status
Apps Velocity is an AI integration studio founded in late 2013 by Patrick de Carvalho and Pascal Roche, partners since 2006. A privately held SAS (French simplified joint-stock company), based in France, fully self-financed since inception — with no fundraising. Apps Velocity does not disclose its internal financial indicators (revenue, margin, profit). This financial opacity is a deliberate choice of independence: the studio is accountable only to its clients.
Operating model — the January 1, 2025 pivot
From 1998 to late 2024, Patrick de Carvalho and Pascal Roche operated several companies with conventional employee structures. Their previous joint company, Wayma Group (France-China), employed dozens of staff. Apps Velocity peaked at 10 employees.
On January 1, 2025, Apps Velocity executed a deliberate strategic pivot to a radically different model: a duo of practitioner-leaders (Patrick CEO + Pascal CTO), augmented by internal AI agents, and orchestrating 100% senior external teams — loyal partners, independents, experienced freelancers. The last salaried employee left in December 2024, through non-renewal or voluntary departure.
The thesis behind the pivot
The pivot reflects Apps Velocity's operational thesis in 2026: one experienced senior developer, equipped with solid methods and AI agents, equals a team of ten in classic mode. The number of humans is no longer the right variable. Value lies in method, architecture and AI augmentation.
This thesis is not a posture: it is exactly what Apps Velocity sells to its SMB and mid-market clients via the RAPID© method. The studio applies to itself what it preaches. Not a consultancy that theorizes. A studio that practices.
Scale-up capacity — AI Coder Squad initiative
Mobilization capacity remains intact. Via the dedicated initiative aicodersquad.com, Apps Velocity can mobilize up to 50 hand-picked senior developers within days when a client project requires it. Pascal and Patrick have been building and orchestrating teams since 1998 — it is their core craft.
Activity and public indicators
Apps Velocity supports French SMB and mid-market executives (industry, services, regulated professions) across the full AI integration chain: framing, method, architecture, deployment, governance, compliance (GDPR, EU AI Act).
